PS reported that the Summer Fair figures had been tallied up and profit was £17,739 which was excellent and up on the previous year.
Contributions to the School’s Learning Enhancement Fund had been received (see LC’s letter to parents). Some large donations had been redirected to CF to take advantage of Gift Aid. LEF contributions to CF to date totaled around £13,040. LC confirmed that the initial use for the LEF was to be for replacement whiteboards with airplay functionality throughout the school which would cost around £15,000.
The proposed diary was discussed and in particular ideas that might support the next project in relation to the grounds refurbishment. An outdoor event was favoured – potentially a film night inside, BBQ outside as discussed in the last meeting. Other ideas included a Y6 in school sleep over.
The CF sponsorship group had continued discussions with LC in relation to the proposals for next year. It was agreed that MG would be continuing, as sponsors and the next agreement would be set out in more detail so that each side was clear on the terms.
LC would be launching the grounds consultation with children, staff and parents in the Autumn Term. One of the things that would be looked at was a new ball games area over by Y5 & 6. Adrian the music teacher would no longer be in school fulltime but would be returning for the Play and also to start a ukulele club.
A number of very long stranding committee members were leaving school this year so the Committee wanted to mark their appreciation and thanks to Amanda Jones, Jo Holmes, Sam Thiagaraj and Nathalie Ginvert who had all given huge amounts of time and enthusiasm to CF in various roles over the years.
