Welcome to Coleridge Families, the Parent Staff Association (PSA) for Coleridge Primary School

Coleridge Families is a registered charity and our aim is to help our children’s education by fostering cooperation between the staff and parents, and encouraging all parents and carers to become involved in the school’s activities and through that their children’s education.

Every parent or carer of a child at Coleridge and all staff are automatically members of Coleridge Families and it is run by a committee of parent volunteers – anyone can get involved, we’d love to hear from you. To keep up-to-date with what is going on, please sign up to our newsletter.

About Us

Coleridge Families organise events and activities that provide opportunities for our school community to come together, such as our annual Summer Fair, fireworks night, silent discos, a quiz night, a gig night, a cycle challenge to Amsterdam and so much more! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 this year we have had to suspend our events, but we will be constantly reviewing this and looking for alternative activities.

Many of our events help to raise much needed funds for our school. This enables us to buy equipment and fund facilities and services that the Local Education Authority are unable to provide. Over the past few years we’ve used money raised to refurbish the school hall on the junior side, redevelop the playground, install a multi-use games area (MUGA) and rebuild year 3 and year 4 toilet facilities to name but a few.

Coleridge Families also coordinate parents or carers to act as “Class Reps”. Each class in the school including nursery has between two and four representatives who fulfil a vital role in liaising between the committee, parents and teachers of each class. They are also key in ensuring that all parents and carers are aware of what is going on at school and helping to build our school community.
